Define the surrounding machine
A standalone cell and an OEM module have different integration boundaries. Identify the functions already provided by the parent machine and those that need to be supplied.
Compare the same process sequence
Use the same loading, welding, inspection and handling assumptions when reviewing concepts. This makes the practical differences in layout and responsibilities easier to evaluate.
Document the handoff
Record the mechanical, controls and documentation interfaces. Confirm who validates the complete installed system and who supports each subsystem after acceptance.
